Established in 1890, Saltwell Harriers is the oldest athletics club in Gateshead.

Members meet regularly for training at 7.00pm on a Tuesday and Thursday evening at Gateshead Stadium, Neilson Rd, Gateshead, NE10 0EF.

We are a friendly club providing coaching and training for runners of all abilities. Whether you want to keep fit or take a more active role in the racing calendar, you will be made welcome.

Club members compete in various competitions all over the UK including road races, cross country, orienteering, and adventure races. If you have ever thought of enjoying the exhilarating sport of fell running then Saltwell Harriers have many members experienced in this discipline too give you advice.
